Ruby Sparks

And just as my motivation is giving up on me again – there comes a movie that is so worth telling about. :)

Ruby Sparks
I just saw it with my boyfriend and I was absolutely amazed.
It seems pretty weird, chaotic and unrealistic and well, it is to some extend.
But it is also so deep.

It’s about a young famous writer, who is a bit socially awkward and barely has any friends.
He dreams about a girl and starts writing about her. He gives her a name and personality… and somehow falls in love with this girl that is actually just a product of his imagination.
And well… one day he wakes up and finds exactly that girl in his kitchen, telling him she is his girlfriend.
Now what would you do?
And where are the limits when you have the power to completely control a human being just by what you write?
I won’t tell more, you should just definitely watch it!

Movies and new addictions…

Sooo… today I watched a movie and I just thought I could use this way to highly recommend it to everyone out there.
It’s a German movie by Marco Kreuzpaintner (one of my favourite German directors) and it’s called “Die Wolke” (eng. The Cloud).
The movie is about a breakdown in a nuclear power station and its results for the people living around the area.
It was definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen. Incredible touching, breathtaking, sad… and it makes you wonder if nuclear energy is really necessary… because, even though it is “only” a movie – it could happen. Every day.
Yeah… then… for those who didn’t know. Lazy ass me, who doesn’t even manage to update her blog in time got herself a 1-year contract at the new gym across the street.
I got it on Wednesday and was there already 4 times. I am afraid it is still just the first enthusiasm, but on the other hand its different from every sports trial I had so far. All the “I’ll go jogging.” or “I’ll go to Mikontalo gym.” always ended up in me having to force myself and after 4 times I stopped.
But the gym is awesome… it’s big, modern, new, lots of different things to do there, … I am really looking forward to go there. Even when going to bed in the evening it’s like “Yay, I can go to the gym tomorrow!”
I even was there yesterday after drinking way too much the night before.

I just hope it will soon pay off not only in fun but also in results. Then I’d be even more happy. :)

Oh and another new start… Japanese…
After my holiday there (I aaactually wanted to write about that… tütütütü… maybe some other time… tütü…) I am very motivated to learn it and the course in TAMK seems surprisingly good. The language is a lot easier than Chinese, what I tried and failed last year… :D
After 2 lessons (3rd coming tomorrow) I know incredible 15 hiragana (who knows just a bit bout the content of Japanese sign language know that this is…NOTHING), some greetings and few basic sentences. But that is more after half a year of Chinese. :D

To end with that…
Sayonara!
